Please note that all the Sorbets produced under the trade names Lello, Lavezzi and Serendipity that were listed until now as certified as Kosher-Pareve must now be treated as Kosher - Dairy Equipment.
The only exceptions are:
• Serendipity Dark Chocolate Sorbet
• Lavezzi Dark Chocolate Sorbet
• Lello Dark Chocolate Sorbet
which are now certified as actually Dairy as they contain kosher-dairy ingredients.
Note:
Serendipity Super Choc Vegan uses pareve ingredients but is now certified as DE due to shared equipment.
Sorbets now certified as DE that were bought by the consumer until and including December 22nd 2024 may still be treated by the end consumer, who already purchased the item, as Pareve.
However, due to shared equipment, such products bought after that date need to now be considered as Dairy Equipment until further notice.
(Please note:
• DE products should not be eaten together with meat foods;
• DE products may be eaten separately, without the usual waiting period between meat and dairy foods – even at the same meal;
• DE products may be used (even hot) with meat utensils;
• Many people who use only Cholov Yisroel dairy products do not use DE products where the dairy is not Cholov Yisroel.)
We are working with the company so that these products can be recertified as Pareve as soon as possible and will notify consumers if and when this occurs.
All Lello, Lavezzi and Serendipity dairy ice creams are still certified as Kosher and Dairy.
